With all the problems that Texas is having, where are your legislators? The Republicans took two weeks off to go party in DC. The people's servants indeed.

You must be mistaken. I remember very clearly learning that Republicans believe that they were hired to do a job - the people's business - and that if they don't show up for work, they should be fired. Remember when those lousy Democrats ran off to New Mexico? The Republicans were outraged. Surely they wouldn't be so hypocritical as to turn around and leave when the people's business is not done? You probably just don't see them because they're working so hard to defend the rights of the common man.
